There are few interviews that leave me as inspired and astounded as this first episode of 2021 has done.
In the 42nd episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sat down with a man who arrived in Canada with $50 in his pocket, his infant son sleeping in a gym bag and a dream to give his family a new beginning. Today, he runs the #1 RE/MAX Team Worldwide (under 10 people) and is #1 in Mississauga in homes sold worth over $2,000,000.
Peter Papousek, Team Leader of The Papousek Team, was born in the communist country of Czechoslovakia. “The government brainwashes you. Basically, they make you believe everything is good, but they don’t let you tap into the Western World. They don’t let you read books or read magazines or listen to their radio stations.”
After his father passed from a sudden and fatal heart attack, Peter planned his escape with his then pregnant girlfriend to North America.
Peter tells me that going back was never an option, “If I would have gone back, they would have probably killed me because, at that time, I was a deserter from the army.” So, with little money and no passports, Peter set off at 26 years old to begin a new life.
Today, working alongside his wife Kathryn and his son Peter Philip, he has been pushing the limits of success in real estate for 32 years.
