  • Production Designer / Junior Graphic Designer

    Full Time Production Designer / Junior Graphic Designer Markham, ON

    Richard Robbins International’s (RRI) creative team is looking to grow. We are looking for a highly detailed, full time Production Designer/Junior Graphic Designer with a strong eye for typography and layout, outstanding organizational skills and curiosity in the web/social media platform.     Job Description

    • Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing
    • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
    • Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
    • Maintain website with updated information and visuals
    • Create a bank of social media images aligned to brand
    • Create branded visuals for all media including social posts, website and PowerPoint
    • Communicate and coordinate with offsite writers, printers, photographers and other vendors
    • Create branded swag
    • Create PowerPoint presentations for speakers
    • Communicate design ideas verbally and in written form
    • Create design collateral that is consistent throughout all media
    • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and be able to complete them all on schedule
    • Reports directly to Art Director/Project Manager


    What You Will Bring to the Team

    • Diploma or degree in graphic design (or equivalent)
    • 2+ years experience in the design industry
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required)
    • A portfolio that demonstrates strong aesthetics, design principles and design thinking
    • General knowledge in WordPress and HTML
    • General knowledge in video editing (not required but nice to have)
    • Up-to-date social media visual requirements (dimensions, file format, best practices)
    • Self-starter, highly driven and lifelong learner
    • Excels in tight deadlines with multiple projects under high pressure situations
    • Ability to clearly articulate design ideas with vendors and team
    • Ability to follow a brand guide
    • Eye for detail, colour, typography, and layout
    • Receptive to creative direction
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ready to work independently and in teams, participate in critiques and incorporate feedback
    • Knowledgeable and comfortable working on brand projects
    • Ability to use Microsoft programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
    • Produce accurate, error-free, high-quality work
    • Can work on MAC platform
