If you follow my teachings at all, you’ll know that I consistently encourage agents to specialize in a specific marketplace, type of housing or geographic area.

Consumers now have access to all kinds of information and types of data. What they need is market intelligence and someone who knows everything about their community. Becoming a specialist demonstrates that you’re that someone.

But they also want to see that you’re involved in your community. There are many ways to get involved, from presenting at local schools to sponsoring local sports teams to starting a neighborhood watch program. The point is that you’re demonstrating that you not only know your area but that you care about it as well. So get involved and just watch what happens to your business.
